ELECTRODE BODY MADE OF GLASS

Ideal for laboratory use. Glass is resistant to many harsh chemicals and can be easily cleaned. The glass body also allows rapid heat transfer to the internal reference electrolysis. The mV generated by the reference cells is temperature dependent. The equilibrium state stabilizes faster than the reference potential.

REFILLING ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION HI7071

The electrode can be refilled with 3.5M KCl+AgCl electrolyte solution (HI7071). If using a refillable pH electrode, the refill cap should be removed prior to calibration and measurement. Removing the cap creates a positive head pressure in the reference cell allowing a higher flow rate of electrolyte across the external junction. A higher flow rate will result in a faster and more stable reading.

CINE-SHAPED ELECTRODE HEAD

The conical tip design allows for penetration into solids, semi-solids, and emulsions. The HI12923 is ideal for direct measurement of pH in soil and slurry.

THREE CERAMIC JOINTS

Allows for a higher flow rate of electrolyte from the reference cell into the sample. A typical pH electrode will have a single ceramic junction with a flow rate of 15 to 20 µL/hour. The HI12923 has three ceramic junctions in contact with the sample providing a flow rate of 40 to 50 µL/hour. The increased flow rate provides greater continuity between the reference and indicating electrodes.

Quick DIN ELECTRODE MOUNTING PORT

– “Quick DIN” connector makes attaching and removing the probe simple and easy.

– Rubber layer protects the cable and seals against water without twisting to avoid breaking the pins like the old style.
